Leadership Team

Chantal, Rescue Director. She is most comfortable when she is surrounded by animals. She struggles to say no when any animal is in need of a safe place to recuperate. She enjoys providing the quiet and safe place for animals to rebuild trust, even when it takes extended periods of time. At any time, there could be a few extra animals in her home although her personal family includes two Quarter Horses, two Great Danes and Tuxedo kitty.

Krystle, Adoption Director. She is essentially a feline. She loves other animals as well, although her connection has always been with cats. She has been a relentless mother to abandoned kittens from days to months old, and she doesn’t give them the option of giving up. Krystle is passionate about rescuing and is the first one to step up to help any animal in need. She is a certified dog trainer, who completes animal assessments to identify potential restrictions for placement. In her home she has a doodle, bernedoodle and three domestic cats. 

Sladjana, Creative Director. She is a Croatian photography queen. Due to her lifestyle and circumstances she does not care for rescue animals in her home, although does have a fish and budgie companion. Her creative photography skills enable her to capture the true spirit of the animals that come into our care, so we can share them on social media. She is an animal lover that supports many efforts of Storm Haven. 

Walter, Training Director. Walter has a travel bug that has created a career focused around horses in Norway, Montana, Arizona and a few other North American stops along the way. He is a professional farrier and horse trainer, who follows his own personal Natural Horsemanship style. Walter personally has an Appendix rescue, and a Quarter Horse yearling, in addition to his border collie and terrier cross.

Rachel, Charity Director. Rachel is an avid animal lover and animal rights enthusiast. She has helped the animal community for years by fostering and adopting animals in need. Rachel had a tough year and lost a few of her senior animals, but has a beautiful black lab named Luna. She helps Storm Haven with several different administrative duties, and charity management tasks.
